“I’ve just had enough of people misrepresenting me. Get to know me and see who I am.” Kim Kardashian
Purpose
I decided that for my first blog post, I will write things about myself. This is not just because I want to share who I am, but I also want to post this so that I can also look back on who I am in my 15 years of existence. On the other hand, I want to do this differently so I searched up "get to know me questions” and ended up with 30 questions.
Let’s start
What is the last thing you do before sleeping? Recently, due to the enhanced community quarantine or ECQ here in Luzon, Philippines I usually go to sleep late and one of the reasons is because I am currently reading Chasing In The Wild. During the start of 2020, I have been fond of reading books made by Ate Gwy or 4reuminct. I started with her first book from the University Series which is “The Rain In Espana.” If you love reading books about school or just daydream about love, I will surely recommend her books. Another reason why I always stay up late is because of iQIYI’s “Youth With You Season 2.” Since I am a fan of BLACKPINK, I always support them all the way. But as I’ve watched a lot of episodes from the show, I have found my happiness in it. Actually, I now have a list of my favorites: Kiki Xu, Xiaotong Lao, and Frhanm Shangguan. How about you? Who are your favorites?
What is your biggest regret in life? As of now, my biggest regret in life is that I didn’t give all my best this year. I lie low in terms of my studies. And also I didn’t get a chance to show more of what am I and what I can do other than what I’ve shown before.
What is your favorite childhood memory? One of my favorite childhood memory is when me, my sister, and our cousin would clean the skin of our grandparents' pigs with a hose. Actually, we have one favorite pig because his eyes were blue. And I remembered that when we sell him together with the other pigs, we were so sad during that time. Also, I will never forget that we would always play with the swing that is attached to a tall tree and we will take turns riding it.
How do you celebrate your birthday? Nowadays since I became busy with my studies and also my parents, we always celebrate my birthday in the house with cake and also take-home foods. Even though it’s just simple as long as we are complete, I feel happy during my birthday.
How will you describe your style? During the past years, I have always followed the trendy style but as years passed by I decided to just buy clothes in the neutral shade and keep my style, a basic and simple one.
At what age did you start wearing makeup? I have started wearing makeup at an early age since my grade school always held a prom each year to practice our dining etiquette. But if you would ask me if what age did I start to apply makeup all by myself, it is when I am 13 years old, probably 7th grade.
What was the first beauty product that you tried? Lipstick 💄. Actually, that lipstick is from my nanny and I just secretly got it from her, and then I tried it. I forget what shade is it but I know that it is dark.
What are the 3 words that best describe yourself? Outgoing. Irritable. Loyal
Has your personality changed since childhood? If so, why? Yes, I think so. I think this is because I have come to a new environment which I wasn’t used to. But as years come by, I have learned to adjust and have some friends which is a big achievement for me.
What quality do you admire the most about yourself? I think I always admire myself for being positive all the time. That even though things may be tough I always see myself battling with it with a smile.
What is your biggest weakness? My biggest weakness is that I am always stubborn. I always set aside important tasks for tomorrow until my tasks pile up AND I HATE IT.
What is your biggest strength? My biggest strength is that I can always become a leader. In my school life, as of now, I mostly became the leader of the group I am with and I think that strength is what I will carry in the next years.
Name the biggest “What if” in your mind. “What if I didn’t transfer high school?”
Which element best represents you? FIRE🔥
What can you see outside your bedroom window? The roof of my neighbor’s house and green trees🌳🌳🌳
What is your star sign? LEO 🦁. ROAAARRRR
If you had to have a tattoo, what would it be and where would you get it? ” you can’t step on me” I would like to put it on the back of my ears but I think it hurts so maybe just below my right foot's ankle.
What is one thing you want to overcome/conquer? I want to overcome my fear of criticism. I have always hated to hear criticism of me maybe because I am a Leo but I want to remove it from me. I want to use that criticism for me to succeed in life.
If you could travel back to any era, which would you choose? If I could time travel, I would choose to live in the ’50s I think because of their sense of fashion and also because I am a fan of Audrey Hepburn. Additionally, I also want to go back during the calm days of the Spaniards here in the Philippines, I don’t know why but I always desire to have an old house while I am wearing a baro’t saya or a filipiniana.
What is your most-used emoji? 😂
How would you spend your ideal day? I want my ideal day to be on schedule. Actually, I have one on my phone and I am aiming to practice it but then my body and mind don’t want to. But if I would describe the schedule that I made, my ideal day must be balanced, which means that it is not only about playing but also about studying and doing things I love. One word: PRODUCTIVE.
What advice would you offer yourself five years ago? One year ago? Live your life and don’t forget the people that you met. Also, open yourself to more possibilities in life. Don’t mind the people who don’t like you, they will not impact anything in your life if only you do not allow them. And always believe in yourself because you really can.
What small gesture from a stranger made a big impact on you? This happened one Sunday when I went down of the jeepney and a grandma suddenly asked me to help her to cross the road so I offer my arm and led her the way. When we went in front of the church she said “Thank you” to me and that really melted my heart. 😊
What are you looking forward to in the coming months? I hope that our municipality will hold mass testing now. Also, I hope that our government will work HARDER to flatten the curve of positive cases. I also hope that this ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine) will be done. And I also hope that I will become more productive in the following months.
What do you consider as your biggest achievement in the last 5 years? I think my biggest achievement in the last 5 years is that I can now talk to people without the help of my friends. I am now open to more people in my life but of course, I choose people I want to let into my life.
When is the saddest that you’ve ever felt? It is when our teacher called two of our classmates who were suspended (?) from our school whom we really missed and while talking she also talked about what she is feeling over what happened. After the call, she told us that we should be moving on and not just stay where we are.
What is the happiest that you’ve ever felt? It is during the announcement of winners in our Himig Paulenyo. We won almost all of the awards, like what they said: “Hakot.” Our class really didn’t expect it since we have competitive opponents. But because we trusted in ourselves, we won. And even though our opponents think that the contest is like a cooking show (since we are the only class of the teacher who created the competition), I am so proud of our cast and my classmates. All the sweat that we produced for our production is no waste.
What is your biggest dream or goal? It is to be successful in my work and to have a family that I will live with harmoniously and happily.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Holy Week 2019. I, my sister, and my cousin decided to walk 1.7 km to go to 7Eleven, and when we finished buying what we ought to buy it started to rain hard. Gladly we brought an umbrella so we just decided to walk again because there were no available tricycles so we pushed each other to fit in a small umbrella. 😂😂😂
What would you like to tell yourself if ever you read this again? I hope you are doing well in your work/studies. Always cheer up and smile. Think positive. These memories of you are here to guide you on your successful journey. I hope you won’t leave any regret in your way of life. Always push yourself to do things you are taught you can’t do.
